Congratulations to ACCESS student Deanna Kubat, the first recipient of the ACCESS Annual Father Alexander Pocetto Scholarship. Deanna is pictured (middle) with Father Pocetto and Dean of lifelong Learning, Deborah Booros, during the celebration of National Non-Traditional Student Week.  Father Pocetto was one of the founders of the ACCESS program 35 years ago. Over 70 ACCESS applicants, who met specific qualifications, applied for the scholarship, and we were honored to have Father Pocetto choose Deanna as our first winner.  Our best wishes to you Deanna!   Only 8 more courses to go!

This Halloween think not only costumes and candy…but Career Fair!  On Wednesday October 31^st, Career Services will be hosting their annual Career and Internship Fair between 12-4pm in the Commonwealth Room of the DUC.  Whether you are graduating in January or May or looking for a Spring or Summer internship, this is the place to be networking.  You will need to be dressed business professional and have a resume.  All attending companies are being posted on DSU CareerLINK, some of our attendees include: Olympus, Frito Lay, St. Lukes, Lehigh Valley Hospital, ADP, Northwestern Mutual, and Enterprise.

Ways Career Services encourages you to prepare:

• Get any alterations done to your suits or make a new purchase.  Career Services has resources to help you best understand what professional business attire includes and the best places to shop.
• Get help with your Resume by coming in during our walk-in advising hours: Tuesday and Thursday 10-12 and Wednesday and Friday 1-3.  No appointments needed!
• Attend our Career Fair Preparation Seminar on Wednesday October 24^th from 5:30-6:30 in Trexler Room of the DUC.
• Have your Resume reviewed by an employer so you can make any last minute changes before the fair.  RESUMANIA is scheduled for October 29^th, and signups are in Career Services (either stop by or call us x1738)
