Heritage Week: Tonight – Town Hall discussion on Media and Communications

The Salesian Center for Faith & Culture will end its  6th Annual Heritage Week celebration TONIGHT, Thursday, January 27, with a Town Hall discussion on Media and Communications titled “From Labuda to Emmy…an alumna’s journey into daytime drama,” at 7:30 p.m. in the White Pavilion in the DeSales University Center. This event celebrates his work as the patron of journalists with daytime Emmy nominated actress Marnie Schulenburg, who played ‘Alison Stewart’ on As the World Turns and DeSales alumna.  Contact us at 610-282-1100 x 1244 or visit us at www.desales.edu/salesian for more information. Reminder: Billera, DUC lots will be full 1/27

DeSales University is host to two large events which will seriously limit the availability of parking at Billera Hall and the University Center on Thursday, January 27, 2011.  The events are scheduled from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

  • Eight hundred attendees are expected for the Philadelphia Phillies Winter Banquet in Billera Hall. The Billera Fitness Center will close at 4:00 pm on Thursday.
  • At least one hundred attendees are expected for the Heritage Week Lecture by Marnie Schulenburg in the Commonwealth Room of the DeSales University Center.  The University Center parking lot will have a number of reserved parking spaces for the Heritage Week lecture.

All other available spaces in the University Center parking lot will be used for Billera Hall overflow.  Resident students should not park in the University Center parking lot on Thursday, January 27, 2011.

University faculty, staff, and students should consider parking in other lots during the evening of Thursday, January 27, 2011.

Class of 2011: 111 Days until Graduation event

Attention members of the Class of 2011!  Monday, January 31st will mark 111 days until Graduation.  Your SGA Class Board would like to celebrate this event with its first Senior Event of the year.

You are all invited to the DUC beginning at 4 p.m. for some free food and drinks.  You will receive information on upcoming Senior Events and discuss events for Senior Week.  There will also be a raffle for a Free Senior Week Pass.  You will be able to make a contribution to the Senior Class Gift at this time as well.

This event is for undergraduate seniors who will be walking in May 2011.  Must be 21.  No Formal Dress Required.
