Mass casualty incident drill tomorrow, 6/14

On Tuesday, June 14, 2011 DeSales University EMS and the DeSales University Nursing Department will hold the bi-annual Mass Casualty Incident Drill in the Mc Shea Student Center parking lot.  The drill is part of the community nursing class for senior level nursing majors and is intended to increase awareness of mass casualty incidents that have the potential to occur in the community.  The drill also serves as bi-annual mass casualty training for the EMS squad to increase the squad’s preparedness for large scale events.  This is the third year for the event and it is well known throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Fall ’11 Lunch Bunch now closed

Update 6/13/2011: We have reached the maximum for Lunch Bunch participants. A big thanks to all those who’ve signed up, and we’ll see you in September!

The Lunch Bunch is forming its new reading group for fall 2011. We provide the books and the lunch, all you have to do is join! Simply review the reading list and make your choices.  We look forward to a great discussion group beginning in September.

Beaking new ground today at DeSales! 6/10

There will be a ground-breaking ceremony for the Gambet Center for Business and Health Care Education from noon to 12:30 today in the field along Station Avenue between Landis Mill Road.

The 77,000-square -foot building will be ready for occupancy in May 2013.

The Gambet Center for Business and Healthcare will become the home for the business department, the nursing department, and the physician assistant program.

Ethics breakfast tomorrow, 6/9: Trustworthiness: the Ethics of Good Business Relations

The Forum for Ethics in the Workplace will host an ethics breakfast at 7 a.m., Thursday, June 9, in the University Center on the DeSales campus in Center Valley.

The event is titled, Trustworthiness: the Ethics of Good Business Relations and will feature R. Scott Smith, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Fulton Financial Corporation and Gerald A. Nau, chief executive officer and president of Lafayette Ambassador Bank. In 2010 Forbes.com named Fulton Financial Corporation one of the 100 most trustworthy companies.

DEIT summer hours
