Yearbook Club meeting tomorrow, 9/1

Welcome students! The Yearbook Club welcomes all students interested in design, writing, and photography to join us at our first meeting and learn how their talents can contribute to this year’s L’Histoire.

The club will hold its first meeting on Thursday, September 1 at 4:00 p.m. in the Kender Conference room in McShea.

If you are interested in joining the club, but cannot attend this meeting, please email Kara Kernick, Editor, at kk0552@desales.edu, or Lois Weber, Advisor, at lois.weber@desales.edu.

First Faculty Colloquium, 9/14

The 1st Faculty Colloquium of the 2011/2012 academic year is scheduled for September 14 at 3pm in Dooling Hall Room 128.

The session is titled “The Research Incubator” and the format will be an open faculty forum where potential research topics will be discussed.  The AOC Committee would like to create a setting where potential cross-divisional research topics are “incubated” with the hope that these conversations will lead to collaborative research projects.  Light refreshments will be served.

Questions and/or feedback:  Christopher.Cocozza@desales.edu.

Emergency notification system/e2Campus problems?

The Public Safety, Security and Health Directorate thanks all of you for your cooperation and good spirit in preparing for, and dealing with Hurricane Irene. Fortunately we did not experience the storm as advertized.

I have heard and read complaints that some of you did not receive any e2Campus messages. Three were sent out this semester:

  • 08/23/2011 at 14:09:20 (OK to enter buildings after earthquake)
  • 08/28/2011 at 01:16:29 (storm warning: please go inside)
  • 08/29/2011 at 12:17:19 (damage assessment: call DSUPD)

If you received text but not email: check and see if the messages are trapped in your junk mail folder or your Postini spam folder. If they are you should mark the messages as coming from a safe sender [DEMO e2campus@omnilert.net].If you do not find the messages then call PS Officer Barb Lotte at X1250 so she can check the status of your e2Campus account.

For any other problem (email but no text, you signed up but aren’t getting anything, etc.) call PS Officer Barb Lotte at X1250 so she can check the status of your e2Campus account.
