Parents and Family Weekend: faculty are welcome to join us!

Please join us as guests of the Parents Association at two separate special events scheduled during DeSales University’s Family Weekend Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15.  While we welcome you to all the day’s activities, the two we encourage you to join us at include a reception on Friday evening and a dinner on Saturday evening where there will be lots of opportunities for interaction with students and their parents.

Most attendees at these two events are freshman parents, many of whom – like their students – are new to the college experience. They will have lots of questions and there will be many opportunities for interaction and discussion. Your presence gives these parents an opportunity to meet our amazing faculty. You can share stories and learning opportunities from inside and outside the classroom. Just talking with you will excite and also reassure them.

The Friday reception is from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. (at 8:00 the parents go up to the Musical Revue in Labuda Center.) The Saturday dinner with Father O’Connor starts at 6:30 p.m. Both dinners will be in the University Center, Gerald White Pavilion.

Please respond and let me know if you are able to attend.  Thanks for your cooperation.

“Moreover, all the heavenly choirs of the Church triumphant, as well as those of the Church militant, are joined to our Dear Lord in this divine act [of Holy Communion], so that with Him, in Him, and by Him, they may win the favor of God the Father, and obtain His Mercy for us. How great the blessing to my soul to contribute its share towards the attainment of so gracious a gift!” (Devout Life II:14)
