Faculty University Roundtable suggestions wanted

The steering committee is planning on a University Roundtable for this semester.  In order to have a topic of interest to the faculty or University as a whole, we would like to gather suggestions which we can then chose from at the next faculty meeting.

If there is a topic you would like to see, please email sara.hayik@desales.edu by October 18.  All suggestions are welcome!

Faith & Reason Honors Program applications due 10/7

The aim of this program is to provide scholarship-level students with a unique opportunity to explore the “big questions” in life, in a small cohort of students, guided by senior-level faculty at DSU.  Its inspiration and organization come from the encyclical letter on this topic written by John Paul II.

Membership in the Faith & Reason Honors Program is by invitation and application only.  Membership is limited to fifteen (15) students in each academic class.

Get application information or contact Lore Mcfadden-Westwood with questions at lore.mcfadden@desales.edu or ext. 1244.

Character U. Mentor of the Month

At our Character U. monthly keynote we will announce a Mentor of the Month – one of your mentors who has gone above and beyond the call of duty for Character U.  If you believe your mentor needs to be recognized, gather your friends and start sending emails!  Your last day to nominate someone is Friday October 14. Simply email your nomination and why you think they deserve the award to Chad.Serfass@desales.edu.  The “why” is very important, because the more compelling the nomination the more consideration that particular mentor will have.  The first winner will be announced at the keynote speaker, Anthony Robles, October 19 at 3:00p.m.  Thank you for your help!

Nominate your mentor now (or ask questions): Chad.Serfass@desales.edu
