DAWG nominations due tomorrow, 2/1

The Admissions Staff is currently seeking nominations for its next group of DAWGs – DeSales Admissions Welcoming Guides. DAWGs assist the Admissions Staff in the recruiting process. They greet families, give tours, participate in student panels, and do much more during Open Houses, Scholarship Days, the Bulldog Bash, and other events.

If you know of any students who are interested in speaking about their experiences and would serve as positive ambassadors for DeSales, please nominate them by sending their name(s) to Melissa.Tran@desales.edu by February 1.

Dear Future Son or Daughter, PACE event 2/7

If given the chance, what would you say to your future son or daughter about peer pressure? Are there experiences you have gone through that
you would share with them?

Join the PACE team on Tuesday, February 7 at 3:00 p.m. in the Commonwealth Room of the DUC for a program on peer pressure. We will
watch an original movie in which your friends and fellow students will tell us what they would say to their future sons and daughters. We will also talk about different pressures and tips on how to overcome them.

All are welcome and freshmen get a Character U PACE point. Come out for a fun and informative afternoon!

Questions? Contact Leah Poyo at lp2464@desales.edu

Can you help out on Scholarship Day?

Scholarship Day for the incoming freshman class will be held this Saturday, February 4.

Undeclared students will be attending the morning session of Scholarship Day. We are looking for faculty members to help interview Undeclared students who have not yet indicated a track of study. In the past the number of Undeclared students has exceeded the number of faculty members available to interview them in the allotted time, so any volunteers would be much appreciated.

Faculty interviewers will be needed from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Please consider this a real opportunity to recruit these students to your divisions.

If you are available to help or have any questions, please contact Melissa Tran at Melissa.Tran@desales.edu or ext. 1328.
