Meet the DeSales University President’s Council, 2/12

Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss this chance to meet members of the DSU President’s Council. They are the business and civic leaders from the region committed to advancing the mission of DeSales University and act as advocates on our behalf.  They’ll learn about your programs, majors, special projects and take that knowledge out into the world.

This event takes place during our already scheduled DeSales University President’s Council meeting at noon – 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in the DeSales University Center.  Lunch will be served.

2013 Technology Fair Registrations Open

Trexler Library and the DEIT Department are pleased to announce that our 2013 Technology Fair will be held on January 8 with a snow date of Jan. 10.  Online registration is now open at http://deit.desales.edu/techfair2013/  The deadline for registering is Jan. 3, but the first 25 registrants will be entered in a drawing to win a prize.

We encourage all DeSales Faculty members, full time and adjuncts, as well as staff members to attend.

Christmas Zumba-thon: Physician Assistant Student Society Event, 11/29

The Physician Assistant Student Society is hosting a Christmas themed Zumba-thon!

Thursday, Novemeber 29 at 8:00 pm, Billera Hall Recreational Courts

Admission: $3 per person

Instructed by: Chelsea Saylor, Michelle Waldron

Special guest return of: Cait Trovato and Ashley White!

All proceeds will go to buying donations for a local doctor who throws a surprise Christmas party for her underserved patients.Her party enables her patients to make a holiday dinner of their own, give presents to their kids, and receive the much needed clothes and necessities to better their lives.

Faculty Mentor 2013 – 2014

It is my pleasure and honor to accept the Rank and Tenure Committee’s recommendation that Ms. Elizabeth Rosa, Professor of Business, be appointed the Faculty Mentor for the 2013-2014 academic year.  Attached is a description of the Faculty Mentor Program.

I urge all faculty members (and especially junior faculty members) to seek advice and guidance from Ms. Rosa during both the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 academic years. My thanks to the Middle States self-study task force concerning faculty that recommended the establishment of the Faculty Mentor Program which has been successful in providing faculty with excellent, confidential advice.
