DeSales University has appointed Steven Marshall as its new Chief of Police effective June 1, 2013.
Marshall brings a wealth of police experience, having worked as an officer for the City of Bethlehem and as a campus officer for Moravian College. He has been serving as Interim Chief of Police since Stu Bedics announced his resignation approximately two months ago.
Additionally, Dennis Rasley has been promoted to Emergency Services Specialist, effective June 1, 2013.
Dennis has previously served as the University’s Access Control Coordinator. Dennis will replace Father Mark Plaushin, our Executive Director for Public Safety, Security & Health, who will be leaving DeSales University effective on or about July 1, 2013, to finish his doctoral program.
Both Chief Marshall and Dennis Rasley will report directly to Bob Snyder, Vice President for Administration, Finance and Campus Environment.
Thank you to Steven and Dennis for accepting their new roles at DeSales University. Thank you also to Father Mark Plaushin for his excellent guidance as our Executive Director for Public Safety, Security & Health during the past several years, and well-wishes with his doctoral studies.
If you have any questions, please contact Robert J. Snyder, Vice President for Administration, Finance and Campus Environment at Ext. 1265.
