On Friday, November 8, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the ACCESS program is sponsoring 10 Steps to a Federal Job non-credit workshop. Careers with the Federal Government offer excellent benefits, competitive wages, and stable employment yet the Federal Hiring process is quite detailed and complex. This workshop will acquaint individuals with how to conduct a federal job search including the types of federal hiring programs, networking strategies, and federal resume writing. Individuals will learn how to effectively search for positions on USAJobs, analyze vacancy announcement for keywords, and successfully demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities using the Federal Resume Outline Format.
Instructor is Steve Young, Certified Federal Career Coach and Certified Federal Job Search Trainer through the Federal Career Training Institute in Baltimore, Md.
