Attention students: If you would like to request a wired connection in your dorm room, please use the wired connectivity request form found in your My DSU. This will send the request to the Telecommunications department. There is already one live connection in each room, for gaming or other purposes. Thank you.
To help our DeSales website visitors feel welcome, Father O’Connor talks about the location, types of education, and atmosphere that makes our University the special place that it is. The video can be found on our home page right now, and as a lead-in to our video campus tour (which will be getting fresh new videos this fall – stay tuned!).
Corporate & Foundation Relations is part of the Office of Institutional Advancement. Our primary responsibility is writing the University’s institutional grants for bricks & mortar, endowment, scholarships, and programs. We also work with faculty on individual and department proposals. Here’s how we can assist you:
Research funding opportunities: We have access to databases to research corporate and foundation giving programs. In addition, we get electronic updates on grant opportunities from many of the government agencies, and can search the different government websites for Funding Opportunity Announcements.
Prepare grant proposals and budgets: The primary consideration before submitting a proposal is an understanding of what is required, deciphering the various guidelines, and preparing the proposal accordingly.
Navigate the many online submission systems: All government proposals and many private foundations must be submitted electronically. The process is often very time consuming and tedious, and requires registration far in advance of submission. Each online system has its own unique requirements and different levels of access and permissions.
Assist with post-award compliance: Every grant that is funded has reporting requirements. Good stewardship and timely reporting is critical for the University as well as the program director or researcher.
We welcome the opportunity to work with you on a grant proposal and will be happy to meet with you or your department to discuss a grant opportunity in which you may be interested.
