Sport Management Society Putt U Fundraiser, 10/5

On Sunday, October 5, at 2 p.m. join the Sport Management Society for an afternoon of fun and fundraising at Putt U. Tickets are being sold this week at the DUC during lunch hours from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., for $7. A ticket will get you a round of mini-golf, food, and prizes. Get a group of friends and come out for an enjoyable afternoon out.

Become a Referee: Students of Today are Referees of Tomorrow

Albright College will host a START (Students of Today are Referees of Tomorrow) program beginning Sunday, October 19 and continuing on October 26 and November 2. The program is designed to recruit college students and local fans into scholastic officiating in the sports of baseball, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, and softball.  The program is open to anyone 18 years or older. Students from any college and university campus, such as Alvernia University, DeSales University, Kutztown University, Lebanon Valley College, Lehigh University, Moravian College, Northampton Community College, Penn State Berks, and Ursinus College are encouraged to participate in the program. There is no cost to college students with appropriate ID to participate in the START program. To register for the program, candidates should fill out the online application form at gomacsports.com. Crime Alert

Between Sept. 22, 2014 and Sept. 27, 2014 there were two reports of theft of bicycles from residence halls. In each instance, the bicycles were recovered.

Please lock your bicycle when not in use and register your bicycle with University Police.

Zotero Workshops

This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the main features of Zotero, a free online tool that allows you to save citation information while searching library databases and the Web. This easy-to-use plug-in lets you save citations with a single click, organize those citations in your personal online “library,” and create bibliographies in seconds. Come and learn how to organize and streamline your research process.

All are welcome! Computers will be available, but participants are also welcome to bring their own laptops.
