Salesian Quote of the Day

StFrancis “The cross is the royal gate by which we enter the temple of sanctity. He who looks for it elsewhere will not find even a trace. Do not look upon crosses except in the light of the great cross of Christ, and you will find them so small and so welcome that you will begin to love suffering because you will find in it more consolation than in any pleasure…Have a great love for the cross, which, if you look upon it with the eyes of love, will seem to be made of gold.”

– St. Francis de Sales

Salesian Quote of the Day

StFrancis “When the bee has gathered the dew of heaven and the earth’s sweetest nectar from the flowers, it turns it into honey, then hastens to its hive. In the same way, the priest, having taken from the altar the Son of God (who is as the dew from heaven, and true son of Mary, flower of our humanity), gives him to you as delicious food.”

– St. Francis de Sales

Salesian Quote of the Day

StFrancis “So loving is God’s hand as it handles our hearts! So skillful is it in bringing its strength to us without depriving us of freedom, and in imparting to us the movement resulting from its power without hindering the movement of our will!” (TLG 1, 2:12, 133)

Celebrate the Glory of Christmas with Gaudeamus

The holidays are upon us and here at DeSales that means the annual—and very popular—Gaudeamus concert approaches. This very special holiday concert features the wonderful University Chorale and the Schola Cantorum, our chamber choir. With piano and organ accompaniment, along with a string quintet, this concert featuring secular and sacred music is sure to herald the Christmas season in fine, harmonious fashion.

Tickets are only $3 for faculty, staff and students.

Again this year, because of the high demand, we’ve expanded to a four-performance run in the festively adorned Connelly Chapel. Because of demand, tickets must be purchased in advance and WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

For tickets or more information, stop by or call the Labuda Center Box Office at Ext. 1276.

Please be advised that the Labuda Box Office does not accept the 3D card.
