DSU has the opportunity for an on-site shiatsu massage program. We have negotiated with our favorite shiatsu massage therapist, Heather Terrible, and she is willing to visit DSU on a regular basis, on a day determined by all of you, for a block of 20-minute massages for just $20.00! Heather will be on campus from approximately 10:00am through 2:00pm on a regular weekly schedule, and would be able to accommodate 12 people for a relaxing chair massage during that time frame.
Please email Deb Albors in HR if you would be interested in participating, as we will need to fill all 12 weekly slots in order to make this program a reality.
Questions: Deb Albors in HR, x1660 or email@example.com.
You are cordially invited to our first Instructor Roundtable and Dinner on the evening of Wednesday, June 17. The Roundtable will be held in both the Gambet Center Room 243 on the DeSales University Center Valley campus and online via Blackboard Collaborate. For those participating in person at the Gambet Center, there will be a buffet dinner.
To register, visit www.desales.edu/workshops and select the June 17 Instructor Roundtable event.
The schedule for the Instructor Roundtable is as follows:
6:00 to 7:00 pm
Buffet dinner and social time (in person attendees)
Moderated open chat session (online attendees)
7:00 to 8:00 pm
Guided discussion around instructors’ DeSales teaching experiences (in person and online attendees together)
The Instructor Roundtable is open to all instructors teaching in all programs, but is targeted at part-time instructors that are relatively new to teaching at DeSales or to teaching in the online or hybrid mode. The event is being organized and sponsored by the DeSales University Distance Education and Instructional Technology department and the MBA and ACCESS programs.
The Roundtable is an opportunity for you to share experiences with other instructors and ask questions that might not have occurred to you when you first started. The event is also an opportunity to provide feedback to DeSales University that will help the university to be an even better place to teach and to learn in the future.
We are looking forward to a relaxed and fun evening. Hope to see you there in person or online!

“You tell me now that when you have experienced some great emotion of anger, or when any other temptation has assailed you, you always feel scruples if you do not confess it. I reply that you should mention it in your review of conscience, but not in the way of confession, and only that you may learn how o behave under such circumstances. I speak of the case when you do not clearly see that you gave some sort of consent.”
