Banned Books Week Exhibit in Trexler Library

Check out the Banned Books Week Exhibit in Trexler Library

The American Library Association’s Banned Book Week 2015 is celebrating more than 30 years of the freedom to read.

This freedom, not only to choose what we read, but to select from a full array of possibilities is firmly rooted in the First Amendment to the US Constitution.

Did you know that classics such as Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World” and Toni Morrison’s “Song of Solomon” were challenged this year, and that Khaled Hosseini’s “The Kite Runner” is one of the 10 most frequently challenged books in 2014?

Stop by the library and check to see if your favorite books have been challenged recently.
