After 18 years of retirement, Wintermester courses are back and better than ever in the DeSales University ACCESS Office. This new and improved program will be available for traditional and adult students to take a class over the winter break.
These courses are designed to fit the three-week break in between the fall and spring semesters. Whereas the previous Wintermester required students to take courses on campus, classes are now completely online. Starting December 28 and ending January 16, students will log onto Blackboard for lessons and assignments.
Unlike the summer Minimesters 1 and 2 in which students log onto Blackboard weekly, Joann Haws, Assistant Dean of Lifelong Learning, said, “My recommendation is to spend time each day on Blackboard.”
Although the number of courses is expected to grow, the following will be available for students to enroll in: EC 209, MK 326, FA 370, TH 262, PO and WC 107, SO 109, PL 109, TH 109, and HI 213. These classes will be taught by our full time faculty and our adjunct faculty.
If you have any questions, contact Joann Haws at Joann.Haws@desales.edu or 610.282.1100 x.1205, or stop by the ACCESS Office in Dooling Room 161.
