Faculty & Staff: Free tickets to Elektra

Act 1 DeSales University Theatre invites all DSU faculty and staff to receive two complimentary tickets to any performance of Elektra.

“Elektra powerfully illustrates the emotional price that those who merely bear witness pay, too. It reminds us, if any need reminding these days, that human suffering is contagious.”

 –The New York Times

Written by Sophokles and Adapted and Directed by professor Wayne S. Turney, Elektra is a classic tale of power and revenge. Grief-stricken and obsessed with revenge for her father Agamemnon’s death, Elektra is a woman possessed of superhuman passions. When her brother Orestes returns, Elektra’s anger and thirst for retribution explodes in a merciless fury. One of the great works of the Greek theatre, this play of a family at war explores themes of betrayal and vengeance on its path to a terrifying conclusion. Ages 13+
