New access control / building lock policy effective 4/4

In a continuing effort to promote safety and security on our Center Valley Campus, we are going to strengthen controls with respect to access to University buildings.  The hours of operation for the buildings will not change; however, the buildings will be locked after a specified time.  As long as the building is open for operation, you will be able to gain access to the facility by presenting your Identification Card with proximity chip technology.

We have provided a summary of the buildings most commonly used by students, faculty and staff that outlines the building’s hours of operation and when you will be required to use your Identification Card to gain access.  Building Card Access Schedule »

In order to gain access to a building that has been secured, but is still open for operation, simply hold your identification card in front of the access pad, which is generally located adjacent to the door.

The new access control policy will be effective Monday, April 4, 2016.

IDcardYou can determine that your Identification Card has proximity chip technology by reviewing the back of your card and determining if the following is printed below the magnetic black stripe:  Indala XT E8.

If you see “Indala XT E8” on the card, then it has proximity chip technology.  If you do not have an Identification Card with proximity chip technology, please visit the Auxiliary Services office in the DeSales University Center and they will provide you with the correct Identification Card.
