Congratulations to Tim Cox, videographer in the Communications Department; the locally-produced documentary Letters To Frieda, for which he was cinematographer, has just been named best News Documentary in the 2016 Edward R. Murrow regional awards (region 11, Small Market Television). It previously won Outstanding Documentary for the 2015 PA Association of Broadcasters, and best documentary and the audience award at the Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival.

“Letters to Frieda” is about a young girl’s escape from Nazi Germany with her parents, and the letters they received from their family they left behind in the camps.  It aired in 2015 on WFMZ-TV.
