Move-In Day for the Class of 2020: Come Join in this Exciting Day! FREE Breakfast, Lunch and T-shirt!

Orientation is fast approaching and one of the best things about this event is the unity that the entire DeSales community shows to the new freshman class.  The positive feedback from the new students and their families about the welcoming team is tremendous. It’s a wonderful way to meet the incoming class and share in their excitement as they begin their journey at DeSales.

Once again this year the Orientation planning team would like to invite all DeSales University faculty and staff to help with the move in process on Sunday, August 21 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  It’s a wonderful way to meet the incoming class and share in their excitement as they begin their journey at DeSales.

Those who are unable to carry objects or have limited mobility, we will have other jobs such as handing out water or directing families during move in.  There is a job for everyone who wants to be involved!  You will get an official Orientation shirt, breakfast and lunch for helping.

Camp Meeting Road Closure and Realignment

Upper Saucon Township has contracted with Semmel Excavators, Inc. to perform road work along a portion of Camp Meeting Road, in the vicinity of the Upper Saucon Ambulance Corps. Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, July 5, and is expected to continue through August 19.

Camp Meeting Road will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the project. The closure will take place between PA Route 309 and Preston Lane. Traffic will be detoured around the closure via Preston Lane, PA Route 378, and PA Route 309. Please refer to the detour plan

The Upper Saucon Township Building will be open and accessible throughout the duration of the project. Visitors to the Township Building must use the detour via PA Route 378, Preston Lane, and Camp Meeting Road.

There will certainly be traffic impacts on PA Route 309 because of this project and there will be delays for travelers. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time and use caution when traveling through work zones.

Mutual cooperation is very important to the quality of the finished product, and will minimize the inconvenience to everyone. Thank you for your cooperation, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Township Administration at (610) 282-1171, and if you would like to receive future notices via email, please send an email to
