For the first year in DSU history, and a one-of-a-kind event in the Lehigh Valley, we will be hosting a Career and Opportunities Fair for our students in Nursing, PA, DPT, Exercise and Sport Physiology, and Communications (with an interest in Health Communications). This event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 29, 2017. In order to make this event truly successful and to ensure it meets the needs of our students, we are seeking STUDENT LEADERS to take ownership in the planning of this event – of course with guidance and collaboration with your friends in the Career Development Center and your faculty.

Your Tuition Benefits: Tuition Exchange/Waiver Meetings are scheduled for Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. and again at 3:30 p.m. in the Heritage Conference Room of the University Center.
One of the benefit offerings for full-time employees of DeSales University is the opportunity to participate in one of two Tuition Exchange scholarship programs available to dependents of eligible staff and faculty. Meetings to discuss these scholarship programs as well as the Tuition Waiver process for dependents of eligible employees who wish to attend DeSales University will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. and again at 3:30 p.m. in the Heritage Room of the University Center.
This meeting is primarily for our employees who are the parents of students entering their junior or senior year of high school in the fall. If you do not have a student in one of these categories but are interested in information for future reference, you are also welcome to attend. Come with your questions – members of our Enrollment Management and Human Resources staff will be available to answer.

Flu shots will be available at DSU again this year. Rite Aid of Hellertown will conduct Flu Shot Clinics during the Employee Wellness Fair on Thursday, September 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the DeSales University Center and again during the Student Journey to Wellness Fair on Friday, October 7, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the DeSales University Center. Those enrolled in Highmark Blue Shield through DeSales University will receive the shot at no charge, however, you must bring your insurance card along with you to receive the shot. Anyone not enrolled in the University sponsored health plan can still receive the shot by providing their insurance card, and Rite Aid will submit directly for payment. Those individuals may or may not incur costs. We have negotiated a special cash price for the flu shot of $25 for the Trivalent and $32 for the Quad.

In addition to the above website, printed copies may be obtained by contacting the Office of University Police located in the Lawless Center (610.282.1100, ext. 1740) or the Safety Office located in the McShea Student Center (610.282.1100, ext. 1513).
The Annual Security Report includes statistics for the previous three calendar years – 2015, 2014, 2013 – on crimes reported to campus security authorities that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by DeSales University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The statistics are prepared in accordance with the standards and guidelines used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Uniform Crime Reporting Handbook and the Clery Act in accordance with state laws (The College and University Security Information Act/Act 73 of 1988) and federal law. The report also includes information on campus security and personal safety, including crime prevention, crime reporting policies, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and other important matters. The Annual Security Report is published in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy & Campus Crime Statistics Act and PA Act 73 of 1988.
The Annual Fire Report includes information about fire safety policies, on-campus housing fire safety systems, fire safety education programs, supervised fire drills, plans for future improvements in fire safety, and other important matters. Additionally, the report includes statistics for the previous three calendar years – 2015, 2014, 2013 – on fires reported in on-campus student housing that occurred on the campus of DeSales University. The Annual Fire Report is published in compliance with section 485(i) of the Higher Education Opportunity Act, otherwise known as the Campus Fire Safety Right-To-Know Act.
Enrolled students and current employees are entitled to request and receive a copy of these reports.
