Facebook scams led the pack for the most common form of malware distributed in 2015. Social media cyber attacks or events have quadrupled over the past five years per the FBI. Although Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn have a tough time securing their own networks and policing them for fraudulent accounts, people still consider them among the most trusted channels for communication. Social media is now the attack vector of choice for cyber criminals.
