Mass Casualty Training Event, 4/2

DeSales University Emergency Services in conjunction with the Nursing Department will conduct a mass casualty triage training event on the morning of Sunday, April 2. For your safety, please avoid the area of the Isenring Center and cross country course during the event. The event will be completed by 12:15 p.m. Signs will be posted in the areas during the exercise.

Faculty, Staff: “My Student Wouldn’t Do That,” 4/4

PACE will be putting on its first program for the faculty and staff of DeSales. Do you really know what this generation of students does online? Do you know what a fake instagram is? Bumble? Vsco? We will be educating the staff about popular social media sites used by students that many adults are unfamiliar with and show our own personal experiences with them.

Who: Students will be separated based on age and ability

Volunteer Clients Needed for Senior Sport & Exercise Physiology Majors

The senior Sport & Exercise Physiology majors are looking for volunteer clients for their capstone projects. Volunteers will meet with our seniors for 3-6 times between April 3 and April 17. All ages, all fitness levels, all goals are welcome. It will be completely individualized to your needs and goals. You will schedule individualized meeting times that fit your schedule and the students’ schedule.

Our students are prepared to address issues like:

1) Strategies for lifestyle change
2) General or specific fitness goals
3) Exercise programs for prevention or management of stable health conditions like hypertension, osteoporosis prevention, and others
4) Or just join for a few new fun workout ideas
