Second Character U Keynote Tomorrow

Join us on Wednesday, October 4 at 3:00 p.m. in the Commonwealth Room for our second Character U keynote, Marcus Engel. Marcus has been speaking at DSU for our 11 years and is a student favorite. His extraordinary story of recovery after being blinded and catastrophically injured by a drunk driver challenges individuals to achieve success by making intelligent choices.

Marcus Engel’s unforgettable message of overcoming adversity will encourage you to view obstacles as opportunities, eliminate self-limiting behaviors, and live life to the fullest.

Banned Book/Gothic Poem Reading, 10/5

The Trexler Library Student Advisory Board invites you to a Banned Book/Gothic poem reading on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 6-8 p.m. in the Air Products Room in the library.

Refreshments and desserts will be served!

Did you know that Huckleberry Finn, To Kill a Mockingbird, the Harry Potter series, and The Color Purple are regularly challenged or banned in many local communities in the United States?  Come to this event and learn more.

Pro-Life Display Outside McShea Student Union

The DeSales Pro-Life Club has planted white flags outside McShea Student Union to honor the lives of unborn children who have been lost since abortion was legalized in the U.S. in 1973. This is one of several pro-life initiatives that will occur during this “Respect Life” month.
