BOGO Offer for Peter and the Starcatcher

Act 1 DeSales University Theatre invites all DSU faculty, staff, and students to purchase one ticket and receive one ticket free to any performance of Peter and the Starcatcher.

A wondrous, family-friendly production—perfect for the holidays—Peter and the Starcatcher invites audiences into the wonderfully goofy world of pirates, sailors, orphan boys, and magical adventures. The story follows a nameless orphan boy who meets an ambitious and inspiring girl on a quest to protect a mysterious and otherworldly treasure. However, they run into trouble when Black Stache, a villainous and somewhat Shakespearean pirate, sets his sights on snatching the treasure for himself. As they evade Stache’s theatrical antics, the young duo must rely on their friends, their bravery, and perhaps a bit of magic in order to save the day. Peter and the Starcatcher is a vibrant and hilarious journey filled with a myriad of comedic characters, beautiful music, and enough adventure to satisfy any child who refuses to grow up. This Weekend: FREE Performances of ACT 2’s “The Beautiful We”

Since last spring, several now-sophomore theatre majors have been working on a project called “The Beautiful We.” This cabaret-style production will explore and celebrate its core theme of beauty, both conventional and unconventional, and how it is found around the world, in our craft, and in each other. Expressing beauty and all of its forms, The Beautiful We takes selections of music from varying musicals such as The Light in The Piazza, Big Fish, The Secret Garden, The Producers, and more. The production is FREE (general admission only–no tickets) running November 11 @ 8 p.m. and November 12 @ 2 p.m. in the Schubert Theatre at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts.
