Salesian Quote of the Day

StFrancis

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what are we, that you are mindful of us, humankind that that you care for us? You have made us a little than the heavenly beings, and crowned us with glory and honour.
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Psalm 8:3-9

Tonight: Matt Fradd, Catholic author and speaker, presents “The Man Talk”

Tuesday, February 6 at 7 p.m. in the Commonwealth Room, DUC
Male-only audience      Free and open to the public
In the first part of this powerful talk, Matt doesn’t explicitly “teach” the men anything. Rather, he invites the men to listen to powerful, moving, and oftentimes hilarious stories. Then, he poses questions to show the men, or perhaps even to convince them, that who they desire to be, and who God commands them to be, is in fact the same man. In the second part of his talk, Matthew lays out five rules that every man must break if he wants to fulfill his deepest desires and follow God’s commands.

Matt Fradd experienced a profound conversion at World Youth Day in Rome in 2000 and afterward committed himself to inviting others to know Jesus and the Church Christ founded. Matt speaks to about 50,000 people every year, and has been a guest on the BBC, EWTN, ABC, and Catholic Answers Live. He is the founder of the Porn Effect, a site dedicated to exposing the reality behind the fantasy of porn and offering help to those who seek sexual freedom.
