Tonight: Senior Soirée

The 2018 Senior Class Committee invites faculty, staff, and the senior class to attend the Senior Soirée on Tuesday, February 13 in the DUC Commonwealth Room from 5-7 p.m. Come dressed to impress and ready to enjoy light hors d’oeuvre, drinks, and live music. FREE Movie at DeSales University, 2/15

“THE SHACK” is the feature film being shown on Thursday, February 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gambet Center Auditorium at DeSales University. The Salesian Center for Faith & Culture hosts these special movie events to generate discussions on a particular topic of interest. The Q & A session following the movie will be led by the Salesian Center intern, Alaine DeSantis. Miss DeSantis is studying theology, ethical leadership, and professional communications. Character U points available for attending.

No tickets are required and FREE popcorn is provided! Open to the public.

No Pressure Blood Pressure!

Join the Doctor of Physical Therapy third-year students who will be conducting a health fair this Friday, February 16 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Trexler Room of the DUC. The theme is Heart Health. Enjoy samples of heart healthy recipes, learn workspace friendly cardiovascular exercises, and get a quick vitals screen to identify where you rank in the *NEW* national recommendations. Come for one or all, and enter your name into a raffle for a heart healthy prize! You can’t “beat” a healthy heart!

Tonight: Make a Difference Lecture

Welcome back Tim Gallagher, DSU Class of 2010, as he speaks about his journey after graduation working with youth, the community, and the police force of Camden, New Jersey.

The lecture will be held on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. in the McShea Commons.

Tim is the Community Outreach worker at Guadalupe Family Services. He heads a gang prevention program, CASA, which works with teens to provide a supportive network for success. Tim was recently awarded the Philadelphia FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award for his work in Camden.
