See your friends graduate in May! No ticket required!

The Vice President for Student Life is looking for students and staff members to serve as ushers at Baccalaureate and/or Commencement. Staff volunteers do not need to participate in the procession. No ticket is required for volunteers.

Baccalaureate will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18. Commencement will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19. If weather permits, both events will take place outside. If not, they will be held in Billera Hall. Fr. Greenfield will make the decision about the location of events on Wednesday, May 16. Ushers are needed to hand out programs, direct guests to their seats, and help with other miscellaneous tasks. History Club Trip to Civil War Site, Harpers Ferry – 4/22

Join the class of HI314 (Civil War America) for an all-day trip to Harpers Ferry where John Brown and his army raided a federal arsenal in 1859 seeking to start a slave rebellion. The all-day trip is on Sunday, April 22, leaving campus from the DUC at 7:30 a.m. and returning by 7:30 p.m.

This trip is a History Club event, but open to any and all students and history buffs. But space is limited. Don’t miss out! To signup see Dr. Sarah Nytroe in Dooling 265 by Thursday, April 19.

Tonight: Counsel Conversations – Senior Only Retreat Night

Senior Students are invited to “Counsel Conversations” on Thursday, April 12 at 7 p.m. in Kender, McShea.

This on-campus retreat features a cocktail hour starting at 7 p.m., followed by reflections on HOPE – The featured Golden Counsel of St. Francis de Sales in the month of April. Student presentations will be given by Karrington Hamilton and Bryan Abraham.
