FREE Physical Therapy Clinic – Volunteer Clients Wanted

Who: Individuals experiencing pain, loss of motion, and function as a result of osteoarthritis, low back or neck pain, spinal stenosis, rotator cuff tear, repetitive motion injury, or other musculoskeletal condition. If you have no insurance benefits, you cannot afford co-payments for PT, or maybe you have reached your therapy cap, but still have a way to go to be back to full function.

What: Physical Therapy services will be provided by students from the DeSales University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program under the supervision of the PT faculty from the program FREE of charge during the clinic periods below

Casting Announced for Shakespeare in Love and King Richard II at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival announces the principal actors cast in its productions of Shakespeare in Love and King Richard II, which will play in repertory July 11 through August 5 on the Main Stage at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of DeSales University.

Luigi Sottile will star in the lead role of Will Shakespeare opposite Mairin Lee, who will play his muse, Viola De Lesseps, in the stage adaptation based on the Academy Award-winning screenplay by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard. Support DREAMS Program During DSU BBQ, 5/23

To assist with the on-campus living, the DSU BBQ Team is collecting the following new, unopened items for our DREAMS program: deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sunscreen, chapstick, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, soap, contact solution, bath towels, socks, and wash cloths. The drop off location will be in the Dining Hall during the DSU BBQ on May 23.

Each June, DeSales University sponsors the DREAMS program, which offers educational enrichment to Lehigh Valley high school students. Students learn the importance and obtainability of a college education. With a combination of classroom learning and community events, the students receive knowledge and hands-on experiences, all while living in our residence halls. Alice in Wonderland Opens 27th Season at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival

Curious Alice chases the White Rabbit to a world of enchantment in Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival’s children’s production of Alice in Wonderland.

Cheshire Cats grin, tea cups spin, and Tweedle Dee meets Tweedle Dum in this stage adaptation by Michele L. Vacca. Based on Lewis Carroll’s classic story, this play is certain to be a wonderland for all ages.

Alice in Wonderland opens June 1 and runs through August 4 in the Schubert Theatre at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of DeSales University.

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival Announces Cast for Twelfth Night

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival announces the cast for Shakespeare’s lilting love comedy Twelfth Night. Festival veterans return and an actress new to PSF debuts in the Festival’s Schubert Theatre production on June 22 to July 15 at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of DeSales University.

Victoria Janicki makes her PSF debut as Shakespeare’s radiant heroine Viola. Janicki comes direct to PSF following her run as Joan in the National Tour of the Tony Award-winning musical Fun Home. Prior to the Broadway tour she played the role of Gwen in The Royal Family at The Guthrie Theatre. Other credits include guest-starring roles on the hit television series The Blacklist and Elementary. [Read more…]
