Faculty & Staff: Fiscal 2019 Conflict of Interest and Corporate Card Policy Annual Disclosures

University policy requires the following employees to complete the annual conflict of interest disclosure form:

  • all division/department heads
  • all holders of a University corporate card
  • those who handle cash or process cash transactions and student financial aid
  • those responsible for grants administration

All employees who meet at least one of these general classifications should review the statement and sign where indicated (disclosing any potential conflicts as defined by the policy in the space available) and forward the completed form to Debbie Naso as soon as possible but no later than September 30, 2018.

All holders of a University corporate card must ALSO complete the Corporate Card Policy certification. This form should also be returned to Debbie Naso by September 30, 2018.

PACE in Need of Women’s Shoes!

PACE will be hosting its annual event Walk A Mile In Her Shoes on Tuesday, September 25 to raise awareness for victims of domestic violence. There are boxes placed in the DUC, Dooling Hall, and Dorothy Day for students to donate women’s shoes. Registration tables will be in the DUC next week. It is $5 for students and $7 for faculty and staff to attend. Check Engage for more details. Freshmen can get their Character U point and there will be T-shirts and prizes!

DUC Lot Closing Tomorrow

DeSales is hosting a large event in the DUC on the evening of September 6, 2018. The parking lot will be closed at 2 p.m. and will remain so until 8 p.m. The lot will remain congested until 10 p.m. Overflow parking will be sent to the front lot of Billera Hall as needed.

More than 200 attendees are registered.

Get Your Flu Shot at DeSales

Flu shots will be available at DSU again this year.

Rite Aid of Hellertown will conduct Flu Shot Clinics on Friday, September 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the DUC; Friday, October 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Gambet Center Room #149 (conference room on the first floor); and again during the Student Journey to Wellness Fair on Thursday, October 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the DUC.

Those enrolled in Highmark Blue Shield through DeSales University will receive the shot at no charge, however, you must bring your insurance card along with you to receive the shot. Anyone not enrolled in the University sponsored health plan can still receive the shot by providing their insurance card, and Rite Aid will submit directly for payment.
