Student Event Planners Needed: 3rd Annual Health and Wellness Opportunities Expo

The Career Development Center is looking for a team of student leaders who would like to assist in the planning and implementation of the 3rd annual Health and Wellness Opportunities Expo.  This is a unique and impactful leadership opportunity that allows for you to partake in many levels of skills building, from event planning, to marketing, to social medial, to employer engagement, and even assessment!

This year’s Expo is scheduled for February 6, from 1:30PM-4PM on DSU campus in the University Center.  Over 40 employers will be in attendance, promoting a variety of health related internships, volunteer opportunities, and jobs.

Today: Inaugural PACE Christmas: “Cookies, Cocoa, and Christmas”

We will have a tree lighting, cookies, hot chocolate, Christmas music, raffles, and you can make your own ornament.

*Freshman can earn a PACE point!*

Festivities will begin a 7PM tonight, Thursday December 6, in Dorothy Day Commons

Raffle prizes include a Holly Jolly Jingle Basket (featuring all Christmas related items), plus other prizes.

2 raffle ticket entry chances:

  • Attend the CSSJ Christmas party from 3-6PM today to receive a stamped gift tag (1 raffle entry)
  • Attend the PACE Christmas party, get your tag stamped (1 raffle entry)

Next Week: Annual Fall Informal Dance Concert

The DeSales Dance Department is excited to present the annual Fall Informal Dance Concert, Wednesday, December 12 at 9PM in the Schubert Theatre!

With original works of student choreography and performances by the Freshmen Repertory Dance Ensemble, you will not want to miss this display of talent and artistry.

Tickets are free and available at the box office in the Labuda Center.


Fitness Equipment Available for Use in the Aerobics Room

During the renovation of the Compardo Fitness Center in Billera Hall, there will be 5 ellipticals, 2 rowing machines, 1 treadmill, and exercise balls available to be used in the Aerobics Room.

The Aerobics Room will be open during the following hours:

  • Monday-Thursday 7am – 11pm
  • Friday 7am – 9pm
  • Saturday 10am – 6pm
  • Sunday 2pm – 10pm
