Info Session and Application Forms for the Fall 2019 Semester in Rome

Now is your chance to study and live in one of the world’s most beautiful cities!

To participate in the DeSales Fall 2019 Semester Study Abroad in Rome program, you must hold a sophomore, junior, or senior status in Fall 2019 and a GPA of 2.75+. All majors are welcome.

DeSales Professor, Dr. Chuck Jobs, will direct the program. Classes offered include Humanities 3, Humanities 4, Values Seminar, Italian language, and Global Marketing. Internships at the Vatican are also available (by separate application).

The cost of tuition and housing on the Rome semester is the same as that of a semester at DeSales’ Center Valley campus, and ALL financial aid is directly transferable. Students will live in apartments in Rome and will have a Monday through Thursday schedule and a ten-day midterm vacation break.

Francis de Sales was beatified in 1661 by Pope Alexander VII, who then canonized him four years later. He was declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope Pius IX in 1877. Last Opportunity: Seniors and Faculty/Staff Portraits

January 23 and January 24 will be the last opportunity for portraits.

Seniors: please see your e-mails to register for a sitting. Please bring an exact $5 for your sitting fee.

Faculty and staff: you are highly encouraged to get an updated photo through the school. Last year, with poor turnout, faculty and staff were not represented in the book. Every photo counts! There is no fee, no wait, and no requirement to schedule an appointment. Please show up in the Sandella’s Lounge in Dorothy Day at your convenience on the January 23 or 24 from 9AM-12:15PM and 1:45PM-5PM.

Weight Watchers at Work

If you are interested in joining Weight Watchers at Work for DSU employees, please email by Monday, February 18. Weight Watchers will begin on February 28 if we’re able to meet the minimum requirement of 15 paying members.

The session will run for 10 weeks and payment of $125 (does not include online tools) is due by the first meeting. Checks (payable to Weight Watchers) and cash will be accepted. If paying by credit card, please let me know so that our leader, Sandi, will be prepared.

Meetings will be held on Thursdays from 12PM-12:45PM.  DSU will reimburse 50% of cost for eligible employees who attend at least 8 of the 10 meetings.
