Visit the mock bedroom prior to the Cris Carter presentation:
April 25, 2019, 5PM-6PM
This program is for ADULTS ONLY.
It seems like a typical teenager’s bedroom, but look more closely and what you find will shock you. What looks like an ordinary item, such as a water bottle or hairbrush, may actually be a “diversion safe,” used to stash drugs and drug-related paraphernalia. These containers are easily purchased online and at local retailers. This interactive experience challenges parents and caregivers to try to find the more than 100 hidden items, including:
- Mock drugs
- Seemingly real containers that are actually “Stash Safes”
- Drug paraphernalia
- Common household items that can indicate abuse
This learning experience, the first of its kind in the Lehigh Valley, is made possible by:
- Lehigh County Department of Human Services, Drug and Alcohol Division
- Northampton County Department of Human Services, Drug and Alcohol Division
