Fr. Greenfield’s Message from his First Day on Campus

Yesterday was Fr. Greenfield’s first day on campus. He took time out of his day to record a message for the entire DeSales community; it was shared on our website and social media channels.

And, Fr. Jim launched his own Instagram account — you can follow him @desalesufrjim .

2018 Mileage Reimbursement Rate Increased

Effective January 1, 2018, the University’s business mileage reimbursement rate for travel in 2018 is $0.545 per mile. The rate equals the Internal Revenue Service reimbursement rate for the use of a personal vehicle for business mileage. Please note that mileage from/to home and work is not reimbursable business mileage. Please use the appropriate travel report form which is located on MyDSU/Menu/Forms & Documents/Business Office.

To ensure reimbursement of expenses, please review the DeSales Business and Travel Expenses Policy located on MyDSU/Menu/Forms & Documents/DeSales Documents/Business Office.

A Giant Step Forward for a DeSales Graduate (and she credits our Gateway to Success program!)

The latest issue of DeSales University Magazine highlighted recent grad Jaclyn Silvestri ’16;  she is now executive assistant to Rashad Jennings, a celebrity well-known for his time as a running back for the New York Giants and for his winning apperance on Dancing with the Stars.

Silvestri credits the DeSales Gateway to Success program for helping her to learn the skills she needed to thrive in college after her mediocre academic performance in high school.

We reposted the story the DeSales website and our University Facebook page, where it reached more than 6,000 people and had many postive reactions and comments. You can check out the Facebook post and full story below —  and be sure to enjoy the comments, including this gem: “Wonderful story. Congratulations on your success, Jacqui. Kudos to DeSales University, for the added programs for student success.” 🙂
