Salesian Quote of the Day

“People say, what is the sense of our small effort? They cannot see that we must lay one brick at a time, take one step at a time. A pebble cast into a pond causes ripples that spread in all directions. Each one of our thoughts, words and deeds is like that. No one has a right to sit down and feel hopeless. There is too much work to do.” ― Dorothy Day.

Tomorrow: DUC Lot Closure

DeSales is hosting a large event in the DUC on the evening of February 12, 2019. The parking lot will be closed at 2 p.m. and will remain so until 8:00 p.m. The lot will remain congested until 9 p.m. Overflow parking will be sent to the front lot of Billera Hall as needed.

DeSales Well – Our Community, Your Health

Fifth Annual Wellness Fair – Thursday, February 21, 2019

Wellness is an important responsibility for all of us. Research shows that five practical lifestyle habits can have a significant impact on our health: exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy weight, eating a healthful diet, getting preventive care, and not smoking.

DeSales cares about your health and wellness, and like you, is concerned with the cost of health care today. Our worksite wellness program plays an important role in helping us all get on the path to better health, as well as offers an opportunity to gain greater control over health care costs.

We hope you share our enthusiasm for our wellness initiatives and participate in the DeSales Fifth Annual Wellness Fair on Thursday, February 21, 2019, in the DeSales University Center. Events are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm.

Please register at http://cvweb02.desales.edu/hrwellnessfair/.  Check each session you plan to attend including lunch.  All responses are due by Monday, February 18.

Fr. Jim encourages broad participation in this event; to that end, he directs all supervisors to allow their staff to attend as many activities as possible.

Be sure to stop by the fair and enter to win one of many great raffle prizes!
