If You Require Students to Remain on Campus During Thanksgiving Break

This is a reminder that the Thanksgiving holiday break is almost upon us. On Wednesday, November 27, all residence halls will shut down at 6 p.m. for the break and will not reopen until 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 1 .

Please be advised that there are VERY LIMITED services available for traditional undergraduate day students during this time. As such, residents are required to vacate their residence halls. The only exceptions that can be made are for those students required to stay by faculty and/or staff members that must stay for University sanctioned events and/or full time/day undergraduate academic responsibilities.

If you require any students to remain on campus and reside in their residence hall over the break, you are asked to email kathryn.kresge@desales.edu as soon as possible. Further instruction on how to request students to stay for the break will be sent to you.

All requests must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Monday, November 25. Requests posted later than this date cannot be guaranteed approval.

Salesian Quote of the Day

Fr. Louis Brisson

Fr. Louis Brisson

“The present system aims at pushing God out of all areas of public life; they even want to prevent people from using the name of God – but for profane purposes. God ought to disappear from all our customs and habits. In the Oblates on the contrary the good God shall have a say in everything.”

Fr. Louis Brisson, Chapter 1891
