Specifically, I’m writing to ask whether or not you would like to be considered for a fellowship for 2013 to participate in the annual program sponsored by Collegium, an organization of Catholic colleges & universities throughout the country, of which DSU is a supporting member.

2013 Healthcare Open Enrollment Period

We will conduct our annual open enrollment for employee benefits on Tuesday, November 13 and Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in the DeSales University Center from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.

Representatives from our insurance and retirement plan providers will be present with the Human Resources staff during this 2 day period, to address questions and issues related to our benefits offerings. The open enrollment period ends December 7, 2012.  All elections or changes must be made by that date and will become effective January 1, 2013 (CY 2013).

Through our partnership in the LVAIC Health Care Consortium we participated in proactive negotiations with several healthcare providers to mitigate increasing medical costs and to ensure that we maintained a “grandfathered health plan” under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (the Affordable Care Act).

For CY 2013 we have chosen to retain Highmark Blue Shield as the administrator of our self-insured health plan and United Concordia as our dental care provider.
