Accepting DAWGs recommendations

The Admissions Staff is currently seeking recommendations for DAWGs – DeSales Admissions Welcoming Guides. DAWGs assist the Admissions Staff in the recruiting process by greeting families, giving tours, participating in student panels, and doing much more during open houses, scholarship days, the Bulldog Bash, and other events.

If you know of any students who are interested in speaking about their experiences and would serve as positive ambassadors for your divisions/major and DeSales in general, please recommend them by sending their name(s) to by February 1.

DSU Career Networking Event, 2/6

6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, February 6, 2013
DeSales University Center

Join us for an exciting Career Networking Program with DSU alumni. Alumni will share their insights and ideas on networking and other job hunting strategies.

The event kicks off with a panel of DeSales alumni in a wide variety of fields including criminal justice and law, medicine, communications, business and more. The panel will help students understand what employers look for in job candidates, the pitfalls of the job search and how to avoid them, dress for success ideas and more.

Faculty: please encourage your students to attend this wonderful opportunity.

Following the panel discussion, the event changes into a networking event where students can implement what they have learned by networking with alumni.

This is an important event for students and we hope you can join us. To sign up, contact Dug Salley, director of alumni relations, at or call 610.282.1100, ext. 1694.
