Congratulations to Rose Hayes who completely answered all five categories correctly for the Trexler Library’s yearly Academy Awards Contest.  Rose  has won two tickets to the  Rave/Regal theater at the Promende Shopping Center.

Trexler Library Plants

To prepare for this summer’s renovations to Trexler Library, we need to find new homes for our plants!

If you are interested, please stop by the library beginning on Monday, March 4, at 9:00am to choose your plants.  You may take them with you, or if you would like one of the larger plants, you may make arrangements with Facilities to have your plant moved to your office.  We will reserve the plant for you, and you can move it whenever it is convenient for you.  All plants must be removed by May 11, however, we would like them to have new homes as soon as possible.

Plants at the circulation desk, and staff offices are not available.

Please be sure the plant you are taking is not already tagged.

DeSales University Job Fair

On Wednesday, March 6, 2013 DeSales University’s Office of Human Resources will conduct a Job Fair from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Commonwealth Room of the University Center on the DeSales University Center Valley campus.

The particular staffing needs we intend to address at the Job Fair are:

  • Custodian – We have 4 immediate openings.  These are full time positions in our Facilities department, scheduled to work 40 hrs./week. We have needs to fill on all shifts.
  • Administrative Support Staff – We have 4 openings to be filled by 4/1/2013. These are full time positions in various departments; 3 positions are at our Center Valley campus and 1 at our Lansdale, PA campus.
  • Campus Services Specialist – A full time, exempt position responsible for both the daily and strategic operations of the university card, vending, laundry, copying, and public printing programs. Will also assist in events scheduling and coordination.

Employees who know individuals who may be interested and qualified for any of the above mentioned positions should encourage them to attend one of the information sessions to be held on March 6, 2013 at the following times:  1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.  Additional information regarding these openings will be discussed during these sessions. Information is also available on the Human Resources page of the DeSales University website, www.desales.edu.
