Move-Out Waste Reduction Initiative: Volunteers Needed!

Move-Out Waste Reduction Initiative: Volunteers Needed!

The Environmental Stewardship Club, Campus Environment, and Reslife will be partnering to reduce waste from the residence halls during this year’s spring move-out period.

Stations will be set up during exam week outside the Heights, Welsh/Aviat, Donahue, Conmy, Tocik, DeChantal and Brisson for collection of re-usable items, including clean clothing and linens, backpacks and bags, functioning electronic equipment, appliances and small furniture, which will be donated to the Salvation Army. Non-perishable food will also be collected.

To be successful, this initiative needs volunteers to monitor the stations and sort the collected items during and after exam week. All faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to take part in this effort to reduce waste and contribute to those in need.

If you would like to help, or would like more information, please contact Joseph McDaniel at jm380580@desales.edu.

Tuesdays with Francis

Tuesdays with Francis

The Salesian Center for Faith & Culture sponsors this informal meeting where a group of students read aloud and discuss a few of St. Francis de Sales’ letters — and the “inspired common sense” in them that still has great meaning and impact today. The next meeting is Tuesday, April 16 at 8:00 p.m., in the Alacoque House.
