Volunteers Needed the Week of Feb. 17-24!

Wednesday, Feb. 20 – Volunteers are needed at Raub Middle School from 6-8 p.m. to celebrate Black History Month. Transportation is provided.

Wednesday, Feb. 20-21 – 30 Hour Famine!  The DSU community will live in solidarity with the poorest of our brothers and sisters in the world.  We will fast from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 11:59 p.m. Thursday.  All money raised will go to World Vision; each participant will receive a t-shirt for the event and a pancake feast when we break-fast.  If interested please email jaime.gerhart@desales.edu for more information.

Friday, Feb. 22– Blood Drive 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the MAC

Friday, Feb. 22 – Make and Service a meal at Victory House.  We depart from the CSSJ office in McShea at 4 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 24 – Hurricane Sandy Rebuild!  We will work with All Hands, rehabbing a home in Staten Island.  We will depart from McShea at 7 a.m.

  • Enjoy a night with your friends or your date at the Aquarium! Get your tickets today for the SGA Winter Semi-Formal at the Adventure Aquarium on Saturday, February 23rd from 7:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m! Cost is $40 per ticket and off-campus guests are welcome. Ticket includes dinner, transportation, access to the Aquarium and dancing! Tickets are on sale at the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership or the SGA office in McShea to purchase tickets when the offices are open. This event is open to all students and there is no couple requirement.  Ticket sales will end on Friday, February 15. R.I.P. Mildred Cocozza, mother of Dr. Christopher R. Cocozza

Sympathy Message

The Division of Business wishes to share sad news with the DeSales community regarding the death of  Dr. Christopher R. Cocozza’s mother, Mildred Cocozza. Ms. Cocozza passed away on Wednesday, February 13 after a lengthy illness.  The viewing is Thursday, February 14 at the Colonial Funeral Home, 2819 Hylan Blvd., New Dorp, Staten Island, NY 10306.  The funeral mass will be at St. Clare’s Roman Catholic Church, Great Kills, Staten Island, NY.  Please offer prayers and messages of sympathy to Dr. Cocozza and his family.  Thank you for your kindness.
