On Tuesday, November 16 at 7:00pm in the Air Products Room of the Trexler Library, Walt Tremer, former NSA officer, talked to the DeSales University community on his service in the NSA as a Chinese and Russian interpreter during the 1950s, and his role in breaking Soviet and Chinese codes.  Mr. Tremer discussed his rigorous language training at Harvard, his assignments in Asia as Chaing Kai-Shek’s personal intepreter, and following Soviet and Chinese troop movements.  The students followed up with Q&A.  It was a great time by all!
